Right-wing operatives deploy massive network of fake local news sites to weaponize CRT

Last Tuesday night, Glenn Youngkin (R) was elected the next governor of Virginia. At 9:15 PM, Garrit Lansing, president of WinRed, the main online fundraising vehicle for Republican candidates, sent this tweet:

What is West Nova News? And what does it have to do with Ian Prior, the former spokesperson for Attorney General Jeff Sessions? This is where things get interesting.

GOP billionaire Ken Langone says he will hold a fundraiser for Democrat Joe Manchin, who has worked to shrink Biden’s agenda

Republican billionaire Ken Langone says he plans to host a fundraiser for Sen. Joe Manchin after the conservative West Virginia Democrat blocked key elements of President Joe Biden’s agenda.

The comments came as Democrats in Congress continue to hash out major parts of Biden’s economic plans, namely social safety net spending and plans to battle climate change.

GOP sees inflation as winning issue

Republicans are looking at surging inflation as a winning issue as the party molds its attack lines against President Biden and down-ballot Democrats ahead of the midterms.

Annual inflation jumped to 6.2 percent in October, according to data released Wednesday by the Labor Department, reaching the highest level in more than 30 years. Prices rose 0.9 percent last month alone, marking the third straight month of accelerating inflation.

Economic discontent, criticisms of Biden lift GOP to record early advantage: POLL

Republican congressional candidates currently hold their largest lead in midterm election vote preferences in ABC News/Washington Post polls dating back 40 years, underscoring profound challenges for Democrats hoping to retain their slim majorities in Congress next year.

While a year is a lifetime in politics, the Democratic Party’s difficulties are deep; they include soaring economic discontent, a president who’s fallen 12 percentage points underwater in job approval and a broad sense that the party is out of touch with the concerns of most Americans -- 62% say so.

GOP sees advantage as redistricting hits half-way point

Republicans appear to be headed for substantial gains in next year’s midterm elections, even before many candidates formally declare their plans, as state legislatures and commissions in more than half the U.S. states have proposed or finalized new congressional district lines.

Of those 27 states, a dozen have completed the decennial redistricting process. An additional six do not need to draw boundary lines because they elect a single member in an at-large district.

Tensions flare in trial for men charged in Ahmaud Arbery's death as Jesse Jackson visits

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A judge denied mistrial requests on Monday at the trial of three white men charged with murdering Ahmaud Arbery after defense attorneys claimed jurors were tainted by weeping from the gallery where the slain Black man's parents sat with the Rev. Jesse Jackson.

The morning's testimony was largely disrupted by arguments outside the jury's presence over Jackson's appearance. The judge said he found one defense lawyer's complaints last week about Black pastors to be “reprehensible,” and that no group would be excluded from his courtroom.

Check out the GOP's history in Congress The South etc when they were in charge America they're nothing but a clown show they don't govern at all.

New poll shows more Americans want GOP to win control of Congress in 2022

More U.S. voters want to see the GOP take control of the House and Senate next year, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll, an ominous sign for Democrats as they prepare to defend their razor-thin majorities in both chambers.

Forty-six percent of registered voters say they would rather see Republicans win the House majority in 2022, compared to 41 percent who say that Democrats should retain control in the lower chamber.

L.A. firefighter accused of wiping butt, leaving fecal matter on non-compliance letter in protest of vaccine mandate

The Los Angeles Fire Department is investigating an incident in which a firefighter “responded inappropriately” after being handed a letter to comply with the city’s vaccine mandate, a department spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The Stentorians of Los Angeles City, a group representing African American firefighters, said Wednesday that the LAFD member responded to receiving the non-compliance letter by dropping his pants and wiping his buttocks with the letter, leaving fecal matter on the document. He then dropped the letter on the ground.

How would one go about investigating something like that?

This is what happens when elected officials represent the people of their state and or district instead of their political party.
We would be much better off if all elected officials did like Manchin and represented the will of the people they represent ahead of that of their party.
Unfortunately most people once elected are pretty much forced to do what their party leaders mandate

Why Laura Curran, other Democrats lost in Nassau County

Around 1 p.m. on Election Day, Nassau Democratic Chairman Jay Jacobs set up a conference call with county legislators from minority communities that are traditional Democratic strongholds.

Spotting a wave of red in early turnout numbers, Jacobs hoped to spur a 3 p.m. surge of Democratic voters.

G.O.P. Cements Hold on Legislatures in Battleground States

Republicans have fixed the new gerrymandered map for the four fiercely-fighting state parliaments set to secure party control in the State Capitol over the next decade, with the widest potential democracy. Even against the wave of democratic elections, it is strengthening the GOP.

In Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia, Republicans have created a super-majority that can either revoke the governor’s veto or significantly reduce competitive areas. The superiority of is virtually impenetrable. Their legislature.

Next time any media outlet posts a poll about the GOP leading in the generic ballot to the voters for upcoming elections i dare you to read this.

Omar calls out Boebert over 'anti-Muslim' remarks, denies Capitol incident took place

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) slammed Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) over “anti-Muslim” remarks she made in a viral video and denied the veracity of an incident Boebert said took place at the Capitol.

“Anti-Muslim bigotry isn’t funny & shouldn’t be normalized. Congress can’t be a place where hateful and dangerous Muslims tropes get no condemnation,” Omar said on Twitter on Thursday evening.

The difference is the screwballs like Boebert and others have no power or influence on DC.
While the democratic parties screwballs like Omar the squad and others have quite a bit of influence and power in the democratic party and DC

Ms. Omar is NOT a SCREWBALL. Boebart is a Racist. No Democrat posted anime of themselves beheading Boebart or attacking the Traitor.

You are known for your special brand Islamophobia. Your attack on Ms. Omar is unwarranted.

See that is a big difference people like me have no problem admitting some elected Republicans are screwballs and yes racist.
On the other hand it is nearly impossible to find a progressive to admit that the squad are screwy and that Omar is

I do believe that Omar has said things that were borderline anti-Semitic. I know defenders will say "she was just criticizing Israel" but I'm talking about a specific statement that went beyond. Anyway we've been there and done that. The House also voted to condemn her doing that. That bugged some folks, but I also thought it was the appropriate response.

I know a certain Ikean really had an axe against her. Frankly, I think she is an awesome voice on refugee issues, against Islamophobia, and many others. That doesn't mean everything she says is right.

As for the rest of the squad, I happen to like AOC, and for sure I don't like people threatening her with harm. Saying she "controls" the Dem party ... oh I bet the Squad wished that, but they will be the first to say it's far from true.

You didn’t do that though. You went on and defended the GOP by claiming Boebert has no power or influence, but stated Omar does. Boebart, MTG etc. have a huge amount of influence and power with their White Supremacist base, and they are promoted and spend a significant amount of time promoting their radicalism over the airwaves. Their own House Leader won’t even do anything about them, because they ARE the future of the GOP.

And it’s not just some elected Republicans who are screwballs. Your entire party is filled with extremists who walk lock and step with a madman and swear fealty to him. So cut the crap.

And, people on these boards, like myself, have criticized the Justice Dems a fair bit for attacking their own party.

Bobert, like your hero The Traitor is a lying POS and accuses Ms. Omar of being a terrorist. Never mind the Reich Wing Terrorists who attacked our Capitol on January 6.

‘We are scared every day’: Student fights and assaults on teachers trouble Florida schools amid pandemic

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — When students returned to school this year, they brought with them pent up energy from a tough time in near isolation during the pandemic.

Now, reports of fights, criminal batteries and fear of violence are becoming an unwelcome part of students’ full return to in-person education.

Right-Wing Conspiracists Come Up With Most Moronic Theory Yet

One of the main things that make conspiracies "work" for those who believe them is a fervent belief that everything those who are conspiring against them in whatever capacity do is symbolism. That way, everything those people so or say is "proof" of whatever evil think you think they are doing. In fact, almost no conspiracies make sense unless you think that "they" are literally sitting around all day Herman Melville-ing it up in hopes of making the sheeple look foolish. One of the big Q sayings, even, is "Their need for symbolism will be their downfall."

The idea is that the whole evil cabal either gets together at Bohemian Grove and decides "OK! So here's what we're gonna do — we're gonna wear red shoes to symbolize our love of eating babies in Satanic rituals and then laugh and laugh and laugh about how we are rubbing our love of eating babies in everyone's face and they don't even know it! Because that is a good time for adults." It's like a never-ending game of updog.
