New Jersey Democratic Rep. Bill Pascreall dead at 87
Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.), who served in the House for more than 27 years, died Wednesday morning, his office announced.
Pascrell, 87, had been hospitalized in July to be treated for a respiratory infection, and spent some time in intensive care. The congressman moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility earlier this month, but was rushed back to the hospital days later.

I have two friends who appeared on Donahue. One was axrecord lottery winner.( at the time) 8.6 million take home one check.
The other a guy I used to jump titles with who was convicted of murder over a drug deal gone bad. He was found not guilty in a second trial.
IMO he was guilty as could be. But, a really nice guy very trustworthy and as odd as it sounds nit a violent person. Unless you tried to cheat him or crossed him.

Guitarist and bandleader Russell Malone died Aug. 23, while on tour in Japan, after battling end-stage kidney failure. He was 60. Bassist Ron Carter, who was on tour at the time with Malone and pianist Donald Vega in a group called The Golden Striker Trio, issued a statement saying: “Mr. Malone suffered a heart attack upon completion of our performance at Blue Note Tokyo. Donald Vega and I are completing this tour as a duo in respect and honor of the memory of Mr. Malone.”

This hits me super hard. I am a huge fan of Johnny Hockey’s. I’ve followed him since he was drafted by the Flames. I have his jersey. I just can’t believe it. I’m still in shock. He and his brother were so young. This is a massive tragedy for hockey fans. He was a great hockey player. A superstar. And he beat the odds considering he was small and wasn’t supposed to make it in the big league. I just can’t imagine what his parents are going through, losing two sons. They were killed the day before their sister’s wedding by a drunk driver while they were cycling. Johnny’s buddy Sean Monahan just joined the Blue Jackets to play again with his best friend. It’s just so devastating. I know people here don’t follow hockey much, but if you ever feel like it watch his highlight reels on YouTube.
