Marine LtCol who publicly disagreed with Biden on leaving Afghanistan has been discharged.
In a Thursday Facebook post, the now former Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr., who publicly called for accountability from the military and political leaders who led America’s longest war, announced he had been discharged from the Marine Corps, effective Thursday.

An infantry officer with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Scheller crashed into the national dialogue following a now-viral Aug. 26 social media video of him speaking out in uniform. His demands for accountability from military and political leadership, both current and past, for the conduct of the war in Afghanistan eventually saw him jailed and court-martialed.

Scheller’s post also stated that he had received a general discharge under honorable conditions, the lowest allowed under the conditions of his plea deal.
Military Times
He threw a 17-year career out the window meaning if he had retired as a LtCol after 20 years he would have had an annual retirement of $69,000 plus exchange, commissary, and other base privileges. Scheller will still be eligible for VA benefits but he won't be eligible foe educational benefits.

A person who is too sick to work can't get healthcare under Medicaid because they aren't working because they're to sick to work and can't afford healthcare. Conservatives, always looking for a way to screw others just for the enjoyment of it.

Company that manages military family housing fined $65.6 million for fraud.
One of the largest private companies that manages military family housing and pleaded guilty to fraud was sentenced Thursday to pay nearly $32 million in restitution to the U.S. military.

Balfour Beatty Communities LLC was also ordered to pay $33.6 million in criminal fines. The company must also go on probation for three years, during which it will undergo close monitoring for compliance.

According to the Justice Department, company employees engaged in a scheme to alter maintenance records to appear as though Balfour Beatty was meeting goals required for financial bonuses from the U.S. Air Force when it was not.

“Instead of promptly repairing housing for U.S. service members as required, BBC lied about the repairs to pocket millions of dollars in performance bonuses,” Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco said in a statement. “This pervasive fraud was a consequence of BBC’s broken corporate culture, which valued profit over the welfare of servicemembers.

Why did Lindsay Ellis quit Twitter? Internet blames cancel culture for YouTuber's exit

YouTuber Lindsay Ellis has called it quits. Fans say that Ellis had to leave Twitter because she was "harassed to her breaking point" for an old tweet where she said that 'Raya And The Last Dragon' was a ripoff of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'. In a recent Twitter post, Ellis bid her fans 'goodbye'.

In March this year, YouTuber-author Lindsay Ellis found herself at the center of a troll fest. The 'harassment', as her fans say, was triggered by her tweets, in which she had called 'Raya and the Last Dragon' a redux of 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'.

A judge has dismissed an election fraud case that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton brought earlier this year against a Medina County official.

Three days later, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct said Ramirez could return to his JP position. It had suspended him when he was indicted in February.

Ken Rosenthal, one of the best reporters in baseball today, has reportedly been let go from his gig at MLB Network because of past criticism of MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred:

Russian world junior team kicked off Calgary flight over mask violations, disruptive behaviour

Following the cancellation of the 2022 world junior championship on Dec. 29 due to the spread of COVID-19, players and coaches were understandably disappointed to miss out on the experience of a lifetime.

While some aired their frustrations online or through the media, others seem to have let their discontent regrettably get the most of them.
