US busts network providing technology to Russian military

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration on Wednesday announced a round of criminal charges and sanctions related to a complicated scheme to procure military technologies from U.S. manufacturers and illegally supply them to Russia for its war in Ukraine.

Some of the equipment was recovered on battlefields in Ukraine, the Justice Department said, and other nuclear proliferation technology was intercepted in Latvia before it could be shipped to Russia.

It should be years not months.

Steve Bannon sentenced to 4 months in prison

Steve Bannon, a former Trump adviser, on Friday was sentenced to four months in prison and ordered to pay a $6,500 fine for defying a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee.

Why it matters: The Justice Department had argued that the former Trump adviser should get six months in prison, the harshest sentence available under federal guidelines.

Not totally. You can listen to terrestrial radio stations from around the world on the internet. I rarely listen to terrestrial radio because the local formats of talk, sports, rock (no oldies), and religious don't interest me. I have SiriusXM radio for my car and I have apps to listen to it on my iPad and my phone.

They also had established relationships with 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey from his time as Houston's general manager.

Brooklyn Nets and Head Coach Steve Nash Agree to Part Ways

BROOKLYN – The Brooklyn Nets and Head Coach Steve Nash have agreed to part ways. A decision regarding the team’s next head coach will be made in the near future.

“We want to thank Steve for everything he brought to our franchise over the past two-plus seasons,” said General Manager Sean Marks. “Since becoming head coach, Steve was faced with a number of unprecedented challenges, and we are sincerely grateful for his leadership, patience and humility throughout his tenure. Personally, this was an immensely difficult decision; however, after much deliberation and evaluation of how the season has begun, we agreed that a change is necessary at this time. We wish Steve, Lilla and their family all the best in the future.”

Hitler Halloween costume leads to Wisconsin man's firing

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Madison Children's Museum has fired a Wisconsin man with cognitive disabilities after he wore an Adolf Hitler costume over the Halloween weekend.

The museum said the man believed he was making a mockery of the Nazi Party's leader when he wore the costume on a busy street near the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Saturday. He was fired Tuesday night, after his costume was condemned on social media and by some news outlets, including the Jerusalem Post.

Amber Heard is no longer on Twitter, a week after ex Elon Musk took over

Anyone looking for Amber Heard on Twitter on Thursday saw a blank profile page with the message that, "This account doesn't exist."

Reps for Heard, who maintains 5.3 million followers on her active Instagram account, did not immediately respond to Yahoo Entertainment's request for comment. Neither did Twitter, which Heard's ex, Elon Musk, began taking over Oct. 28 in a $44 billion deal.

Colts fire Frank Reich after four-plus seasons in Indianapolis; Jeff Saturday named interim head coach

The Indianapolis Colts have made a major move, as team owner Jim Irsay announced Monday that they had fired head coach Frank Reich. The Colts sit in second place in the AFC South with a 3-5-1 record. The final nail in the coffin for Reich was Sunday's 26-3 loss to the New England Patriots, as Irsay had apparently seen enough.

Reich went 40-33-1 as Colts head coach in his four and a half seasons. He finished second in the division three times, and went 1-2 in the postseason. The Colts tried nearly everything to spark the team this season. They benched quarterback Matt Ryan for Sam Ehlinger and fired offensive coordinator Marcus Brady less than a week ago. Still, the team struggled.
