Air Force kicks out 40 airmen from basic training and tech school for failing to get vaccinated.
The Air Force announced 40 recruits have been kicked out of the service for refusing the coronavirus vaccine ahead of the service’s Nov. 2 deadline to get the shots, service spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said Monday.
About 23 of the 40 were in basic training, while the others had completed basic training and were undergoing their technical training when they were separated from the service, Stefanek said. The recruits received entry-level discharges, meaning they may reenlist if they choose to get the vaccine in the future.
The Air Force’s active-duty deadline is the earliest of the service branches. Active-duty troops in the Marine Corps and Navy must be vaccinated by Nov. 28, and soldiers have until by Dec. 15, according to the services.
The Tuesday deadline only affects active-duty airmen. Those in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard have until Dec. 2 to become fully vaccinated. While the Air Force does not break down vaccination rates for Guard and Reserve units, about 88.9% of the entire department were fully vaccinated as of Oct. 25.

Yahoo pulls out of China.
Yahoo Inc. said Tuesday it has pulled out of China, citing an “increasingly challenging business and legal environment.”
Chinese authorities maintain a firm grip on internet censorship in the country and require companies operating in China to censor content and keywords deemed politically sensitive or inappropriate.
“In recognition of the increasingly challenging business and legal environment in China, Yahoo’s suite of services will no longer be accessible from mainland China as of November 1,” the company said in a statement.
It said it “remains committed to the rights of our users and a free and open internet.”

Christian radio host bilked elderly listeners out of $32 million Ponzi Scheme get three life sentences.
If there is a Hell then Gallagher's got a reserved spot awaiting him.Texas radio host William Neil “Doc” Gallagher was given three life sentences for a Ponzi scheme which took millions from elderly listeners.
The 80-year-old promoted his business, Gallagher Financial Group and his books, such as “Jesus Christ, Money Master,” on Christian radio, according to The Associated Press (AP). More than a dozen victims testified to losing between $50,000 and $600,000 in Gallagher’s scheme. Gallagher pleaded guilty to charges in August.
Some of the victims reportedly told the court they had to take on jobs and sell their homes to make ends meet.
“He ruthlessly stole from his clients who trusted him for almost a decade. He amassed $32 million in loss to all of his clients and exploited many elder individuals. He worked his way around churches preying on people who believed he was a Christian,” Varnell said in a statement.

NY ballot proposals: Voters appear to reject voting reforms backed by Democrats
ALBANY – New York voters appeared to reject three ballot proposals that would have implemented reforms favored by elected Democrats, including same-day voter registration and a measure that would have allowed anyone to cast an absentee ballot.
With 86% of election districts reporting, ballot proposals 1, 3 and 4 were headed toward apparent defeat, a rare statewide victory for Republicans who helped organize opposition to the measures in a state that has a 2-to-1 Democratic enrollment advantage.

Capitol Hill insurrectionist who Tweeted she wasn't going to go to jail because she has “blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I’m not going to jail” has been sentenced to 60 days in jail.
How's that blonde hair and great job working out for you.Jenna Ryan, a Donald Trump enthusiast who tweeted that she’s “definitely not going to jail” after she stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in prison on Thursday.
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper said Ryan ― a Texas real estate agent who flew to D.C. on a private plane and promoted her business as she livestreamed in the Capitol ― played a “lesser role in the criminal conduct that took place” than many others did. “But that does not mean that you don’t have any culpability in what happened that day,” Cooper said.
Ryan, who faced four charges, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count, admitting she “paraded, demonstrated, or picketed” inside the Capitol when she knew that she didn’t have permission to be there.

His gig was unpaid but at least he's no longer on the air.The fallout from a racist rant during a San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting has apparently cost comedian Jason Robo a weekly radio gig in northern California.
KMUD news director Lauren Schmitt said "immediate action is being taken" after Robo made "several deplorable statements," the Times of San Diego reports.
The rant has generated a great deal of attention in San Diego.
"You should resign, [Nora] Vargas. I can't wait for your arteries to clog. They're not doing it fast enough. And Nathan [Fletcher], you should kill yourself. … A dishonorable discharge would be you blowing your brains out. … [Terra] Lawson-Remer, I like to call you a little monkey. I'd like to see you hang from a tree. And [Dr. Wilma] Wooten, you're a f*cking Aunt Jemima," Robo said.
