Devon 'Hannibal' Nicholson Banned by World Class Pro Wrestling After Stabbing Referee

Wrestler Devon "Hannibal" Nicholson has been banned by World Class Pro Wrestling after he repeatedly stabbed referee Lando Deltoro with a metal spike during an event over the weekend, per TMZ Sports.

After Nicholson defeated Carlito in the staged match between the two, he began fighting with Deltoro, presumably as part of the act. But Nicholson then repeatedly stabbed and scraped Deltoro with a metal spike repeatedly until another wrestler pulled him away, as you can see in the video below [warning: graphic violence]:

‘Dr. Oz Show’ canceled by Sony Pictures as recent New Jersey resident Oz runs for Senate out of Pennsylvania

Sony Pictures on Monday said it will end its long-running “The Dr. Oz Show” next month, a move that comes weeks after host Mehmet Oz announced he will run for the Senate as a Republican out of Pennsylvania.

Sony did not cite Oz’s candidacy in its announcement that his syndicated show will be replaced by its spinoff, “The Good Dish.” That show, hosted by his daughter Daphne Oz, will premiere Jan. 17, three days after the last broadcast of “Dr. Oz.”

Socialist Twitch Streamer Banned For Calling White People ‘Cracker’

Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch considers “cracker” a serious racial slur, a fact many only learned this week after socialist streamer Hasan Piker and others were banned for saying it. This latest bizarre moderation decision comes months after protests for Twitch’s failure to protect streamers of color for racism and harassment.

The ban wave began with Piker’s mods who were removed after using the words in chat earlier this week. Some of Piker’s fans considered the term hateful and out of line. Piker did not. “I’ve been called ‘cracker’ more times than every single one of you fucking pasty little cracker bitches in my chat, okay?” he said at one point.

Huh. Well I guess this account won't be allowed on Twitch, then.

Urban Meyer fired by Jaguars in midnight move after less than one season on job

After dealing with multiple controversies, the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally had enough of Urban Meyer, who was fired by the team in a move that was announced after midnight on Thursday morning.

The firing ends a tumultuous run for Meyer, who was mired in several controversies during his short time in Jacksonville. The move by the team comes less than 12 hours after former Jags kicker Josh Lambo made an accusation that Meyer once kicked him during a team practice.

Senate parliamentarian rejects Democrats' third attempt to include immigration in economic bill

(CNN)The Senate parliamentarian on Thursday rejected Democrats' third attempt to include immigration in President Joe Biden's economic bill, delivering a major blow to Democrats who have repeatedly sought to include immigration provisions in the Build Back Better bill.

It's the latest hit to the Biden administration's immigration agenda and likely marks the end of the road for providing protections to millions of undocumented immigrants through the budget process known as reconciliation, which would not require GOP votes.

Dec 2 (Reuters) - Outdoor sporting goods retailer Sportsman's Warehouse Holdings Inc (SPWH.O) and Great Outdoors Group, owner of the Bass Pro Shops chain, have called off their merger deal, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday.

Texas is close to becoming the job-quitting capital of the country

DALLAS — Texas is making a strong run at becoming the quitter capital of the U.S. We know this because of new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There is always a delay in putting these numbers together, so these are September figures. They show that Texas had the largest increase in the number of workers who said "I quit" in September.

U.S. judge tosses $4.5 bln deal shielding Sacklers from opioid lawsuits

NEW YORK, Dec 16 (Reuters) - A federal judge overturned a roughly $4.5 billion settlement that legally shielded members of the Sackler family who stand accused of helping fuel the U.S. opioid epidemic, a decision that threatened to upend the bankruptcy reorganization of their company, OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma LP.

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon said in a written opinion on Thursday the New York bankruptcy court that approved the settlement did not have authority to grant the Sacklers the legal protection from future opioid litigation that formed the linchpin of Purdue’s reorganization.

Fox News loses bid to dismiss Dominion defamation lawsuit over election coverage

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Fox News Network on Thursday lost its attempt to dismiss a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems Inc, a voting machine company that says Fox defamed it by amplifying conspiracy theories about its technology.

In a written ruling, Delaware court judge Eric Davis said Dominion had sufficiently alleged it was defamed by Fox News' 2020 election coverage and the case should proceed toward trial.

As I understand it, the video game feature was only available to the passenger, not the driver. (You would hope so).

That said, of course, I'm not sure it's the best of ideas to be having anybody playing Grand Theft Auto while the car is driving. :D
