We can make peace now. Give Putin the Ukraine. If that's what you want, than say so.

So you want to give the Ukraine to Putin. Not surprised, he's a true Republican hero.

Glenn, here's what your hero said:
Donald Trump has said that Vladimir Putin is “very savvy” and made a “genius” move by declaring two regions of eastern Ukraine as independent states and moving Russian armed forces to them.

Trump said he saw the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis on TV “and I said: ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine … Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful.”

The former US president said that the Russian president had made a “smart move” by sending “the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen” to the area.

Trump, a long-term admirer of Putin who was impeached over allegations he threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine unless it could help damage the reputation of Joe Biden, praised the Russian president’s moves while also claiming that they would not have happened if he was still president.

“Here’s a guy who’s very savvy … I know him very well,” Trump said of Putin while talking to the The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show. “Very, very well. By the way, this never would have happened with us. Had I been in office, not even thinkable. This would never have happened.

“But here’s a guy that says, you know, ‘I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent’ – he used the word ‘independent’ – ‘and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.’ You gotta say that’s pretty savvy.”
And you want the GOP to be in charge of our nation.

Do you see how easily manipulated you are by the GOP? They are telling you to be against helping Ukraine and you're going right along with them. Just like when they told you J6 wasn't a thing and you bought it, regardless of what you see and hear with your own eyes and ears.

This isn't about money. That's utter bullshit. It's about siding with Putin. The party of Putin is now telling you it's a money issue, and you believe it. But it's not a money issue. America is the wealthiest country on the planet. No one even comes close. This is a drop in the bucket for the amount of money the United States has.

The GOP had no problem spending trillions and trillions of dollars over decades in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. And YOU had no problem with that. But now the party of Putin is trying to sell this as a spending issue and you believe them. Unreal.

What the hell do you even stand for? This is about helping an American ally protect itself from a fascist state that is torturing, raping and murdering their people. It's about defending Europe. It's about defending the world and freedom.

I'm very narrow minded when it comes to Ukraine. For once, a problem is simple. Putin is a creep, and likely a psychopathic creep at that. He created the ultimate transnational oligarchy, decided he was god, and then decreed that Ukraine was part of Russia, without bothering to ask the Ukrainians.

The justification seems to be that there is a small concentration on the border in Donbass who do self-identify as Russian, and/or that he has to protect warm-water ports by maintaining control of Crimea. These are both pretty small areas. He didn't bother to ask anyone else in what's a large country by European standards.

The only reason Putin didn't go to war while drumpf was president was that he didn't have to. War was not the clear option until someone he couldn't call up and take a lunch with got in. Here's the catch, though: Putin wouldn't have stopped with Ukraine any more than Hitler stopped with the Sudetenland. When did appeasing out-of-control dictators become fashionable again?

My point exactly. You were outraged at how much money and time we spent in places like Iraq, and rightfully so.
Leading to the question how much time and money are you willing to see us spend in Ukraine.

I'm willing to spend lots of time and money to keep a dictator from defeating a free people.

I guess you're willing to let Daddy Trump's buddy win if it takes to long or costs too much.

No, that’s not your point. You are repeating the likes of Trump, Matt Gaetz and MTG. A huge faction of the GOP is pro Putin, anti Ukraine. You don’t stand for anything but what the GOP tells you. Just like how you knew what happened on J6 till the GOP easily worked you over and quickly changed your mind. You constantly defended the Iraq invasion and you and Joe were angry about leaving Afghanistan. You had NO PROBLEM with the trillions spent there.

But this isn’t the same situation. Ukraine was invaded by an evil fascist despot, who is torturing, raping and murdering the Ukrainian people.

Biden announces US will send Abrams tanks to Ukraine, signaling new phase of war
.....It could take months to deliver the M1 Abrams tanks because the U.S. has to purchase them through a procurement process. The tanks, spare parts and other equipment are valued at $400 million.

The move marks a reversal for the Biden administration, which had resisted sending the tanks because of its sophisticated maintenance and training, and comes as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced his country would provide 14 Leopard 2 A6 tanks for Ukraine's military. Britain said earlier this month it will provide 14 of its Challenger 2 tanks and France plans to contribute 10 armed fighting vehicles.....

It'll be at least two months before the Ukrainians will be able to use the tanks. First, their troops have to be trained on them which will take about a month. Second, supply lines, fuel lines, spare parts, and maintenance for both types of tanks will have to be established. Third, the U.S. tanks and German tanks are two different animals neither of which is similar to the other. The U.S. builds vehicles using the English system and the German's use the metric system so the parts of each tank aren't interchangeable.

While, from a military standpoint, the U.S. and German tanks are superior to the Russian tanks unless they can be delivered quickly and the Ukrainians trained they may not have much impact in stopping or thwarting a Russian Spring advance.

Well Donald Trump says he can get peace in five minutes.

But you can't. The only thing that Vlad will agree to is if you give him the Ukraine. That's the only possible peace. Are you good with that?
