Voice of the people: Democrats get no credit for cleaning up after Republicans

Democrats get no credit for cleaning up after Republicans

It is happening again - right in front of our eyes. After a Republican president screws up the country and the economy, a Democrat comes in and gets things going in the right direction again but gets no credit for it.

Former Traitor Aid Seeking New Hampshire Seat Voted In Two Different States For 2016 Election.

https://apnews.com/article/2022-midterm ... fca96fbc8c.

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A former Trump administration official now running for Congress in New Hampshire voted twice during the 2016 primary election season, potentially violating federal voting law and leaving him at odds with the Republican Party’s intense focus on “election integrity.”

Matt Mowers, a leading Republican primary candidate looking to unseat Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas, cast an absentee ballot in New Hampshire’s 2016 presidential primary, voting records show. At the time, Mowers served as the director of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s presidential campaign in the pivotal early voting state.

Four months later, after Christie’s bid fizzled, Mowers cast another ballot in New Jersey’s Republican presidential primary, using his parents’ address to re-register in his home state, documents The Associated Press obtained through a public records request show.

Ohio Republican J.D. Vance New Campaign Asks Voters, "Are You A Racist Do You Hate Mexicans?"

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ohio-j ... l-title-42.

FIRST ON FOX – GOP Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance is spending $1 million on a statewide ad buy attacking President Biden for the border crisis – just as Biden rescinds COVID-era policy that has been used to expel most migrants since 2020.

"Are you a racist? Do you hate Mexicans?" Vance says in a provocative open to the ad.

"The media calls us racist for wanting to build Trump's wall. They censor us, but it doesn't change the truth. Joe Biden's open border is killing Ohioans with more illegal drugs and more Democrat voters pouring into this country," Vance said in the ad.

Democrats Aerion Abney, Martell Covington win special elections to fill former seats of Ed Gainey, Jake Wheatley

Until November, the 19th and 24th state House districts — spanning from Marshall-Shadeland through the center of Pittsburgh and over to Homewood and Wilkinsburg — will be represented by a pair of Democrats who swept to easy victories in special elections Tuesday.

Martell Covington will succeed Ed Gainey, now mayor of Pittsburgh, in the 24th, and Aerion Abney will take over for Jake Wheatley, now the mayor’s chief of staff, in the 19th. They’ll serve out the remainder of the current legislative term in Harrisburg.

The 80th Assembly District is 47% Democratic, 20% republicans, 27% Decline to State, and the 6% minor parties so it is not surprising the the two leading candidates are Democrats. There will be a runoff between Alvarez and Gomez in the June 7th primary.

Democrat Yadira Caraveo seals nod with assembly win in Colorado's new 8th Congressional District

State Rep. Yadira Caraveo will be the Democratic nominee in Colorado's newly created 8th Congressional District after the Thornton pediatrician received enough votes at Tuesday night's district assembly to prevent anyone else from making the primary ballot.

With 70.72% of the delegate vote, Caraveo managed to keep primary rival Charles "Chaz" Tedesco, an Adams County commissioner and former union president, from reaching the 30% needed to qualify for the June 28 primary, according to an announcement released Wednesday afternoon by the Colorado Democratic Party.

A South Carolina Republican state lawmaker who has decided to forgo running for re-election will still face a hearing on April 28 to answer for charges that he committed 133 ethics violations while in office.

https://www.rawstory.com/south-carolina ... iolations/.

According to the Post Courier, Rep. Jonathon Hill (R-Townville) came into office as a Tea Party activist, has been accused of, among other charges, using campaign funds to pay his mortgage as well as other personal bills.

The report states that the House Ethics Committee has scheduled public hearings where he will be allowed to defend himself.

"The four-term House member can use that forum, as well as a more formal, trial-like hearing May 13, to dispute allegations that he mishandled his campaign bank account, failed to properly track donations and expenses and used the money to cover personal charges," the report states adding, "Hill, who is not seeking reelection this year, also has the option to admit to some or all of the charges and plead for leniency. The Tea Party activist and software engineer faces up to $266,000 in fines — $2,000 per count — if found guilty. "

Hill’s lawyer, Tony Fernandez, indicated his client will attempt to negotiate a settlement.

Judge Appears Likely To Allow January 6-Related Cndidacy Callenge Against Marjorie Taylor Greene.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/08/politics ... index.html.

Washington (CNN)A federal judge signaled Friday that she'll likely allow a group of Georgia voters to move forward with their constitutional challenge against GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, which claims she can't run for reelection because she aided the January 6 insurrectionists.

Federal Judge Amy Totenberg of the Northern District of Georgia said during a lengthy hearing that she has "significant questions and concerns" about a recent ruling in a similar case, which blocked the same challenge against Rep. Madison Cawthorn, a North Carolina Republican.

A group of Georgia voters, backed by a coalition of constitutional scholars and liberal activists, lodged the challenge against Greene last month with state election officials. Greene then filed her own lawsuit in federal court, asking Totenberg to shut down the state-level proceedings.

Expecting board cons to move to GA temporarily so they can vote for this horrid Woman.

What are her qualifications again to be a lawmaker?

Oh, remember this?

Marjorie Taylor Greene indicated support for executing prominent Democrats in 2018 and 2019 before running for Congress
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/26/politics ... index.html

and this
According to ABC Affiliate WSB-TV in Atlanta, in May 2021, Greene broke Georgia law by claiming two homestead tax exemptions on her properties, an older home and one she bought in the 14th congressional district when she ran for office; only one exemption may legally be claimed. Greene responded that the issue was "paperwork, which is being taken care of".[3

Cant see what she did before Congress, will assume she has no qualifications at all.

Democrats weighed down by Biden scramble for message

Democrats are scrambling for a message to break through to voters as the days tick down to the midterm election and President Biden’s approval rating remains mired at around 40 percent.

They got a wake-up call in last year’s state-level races in New Jersey and Virginia, two bellwether states that signaled a coming Republican tidal wave in the 2010 midterm elections, when then-President Obama was also struggling with a low approval rating.
