Since we are talking about brain dead right wing fucking assholes, listening to Paula Poundstone podcast with climatologist Michael Mann talking about how DeSantis in Florida has blocked every attempt to do anything to help prevent climate change disaster.

All cons are scum, I just hope I live long enough to see climate change act out in the non discriminatory way that it will, if you know what I mean.

Alert: AZ election denial group, 2020 is Nullified, is organizing protests in Pima and Maricopa counties tonight. “Our elections and our country are being stolen.” They are asking “patriots” to “bring bullhorns” and may be planning to interfere in ballot counting.

They'll be brining more than bullhorns, they'll be bringing killing machines. That's what they did last time.

Pro-Trump protesters gather around Maricopa County, Arizona, counting center - NBC News
Some in the 300-strong crowd chanted "count the votes" and "Fox News sucks" after the TV network called the state in Joe Biden's favor.

A crowd of protesters, some of them armed, claimed the vote had been stolen from President Donald Trump as they gathered outside the counting center in Maricopa County, Phoenix, late Wednesday, ahead of the release of new results in the presidential and Senate races.
These violent white cons aren't just violent, they're deadly.

Democrats Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio will hold four more years in office, after beating former Republican Gov. Felix Camacho and Sen. Tony Ada by 11 points in the final, unofficial results for the 2022 general election.

How do we sit by and do nothing when right wing governors deny access to the polling places to the Department of Justice I just don’t get how we don’t do something.

Looks like half the country isn’t voting again, can’t tell you how sick that is, unsurvivable is what that is.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 5-/pubhtml

They're still a number of races yet to be called Dems did better than expected it wasn't a Red Wave but in reality we lost there's a number of states we need to seriously address to improve i get the frustration & anger from the Blue Voters living in Red States who worked so hard for the midterms we do something to address this plus i'm still pissed at Machinima & The Parliamentarian for not passing The For The People Act had it passed gerrymandering would've been outlawed & voting would've been fairer.

9 out of 10 midterm races won by Democrats in Hays County

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Democrats won all but one race in Hays County. They flipped several seats previously held by Republicans.

But how did a county that was majority red turn blue?

Probably normal people sick of conservative gaybaiting, CRT-baiting, book-banning, and petty, cultish sloganeering like “lock her up”/“let’s go Brandon” being all they have to offer.

Stupid bigots.

BREAKING: Democrats have flipped the entire State Senate of Minnesota
Michigan Democrats flip House, Senate in 2022 midterm
Democrats now control MI Legislature & Governor's office. What does this mean for the state's future?

To try to put how unique Michigan’s 2022 election is into perspective, let’s talk about Diet Coke. Diet Coke has been around long enough to be an iconic beverage. It first hit store shelves back in 1982.

That is also the last time voters in Michigan elected Democrats to control both the state legislature and governor’s office.

The power shift has the potential to lead to changes in gun laws, Michigan’s “Right to Work” laws, and education policy.

“We have been playing defense, especially in the education committee in the Michigan Senate for four years. We get to play offense now. It’s going to be a game-changer. Whole new game,” said State Senator Dayna Polehanki, a Democrat from Livonia.......

Only Fans was trending tonight because some talking head on MSNBC slut-shamed Lauren Boebert, saying she can always go to Only Fans.

I agree with @antifaoperative's sentiment below. Slut-shaming is conservative.

I don’t care if Lauren Boebert had a hundred abortions or did sex work, that’s her right to do so.

I care that she’s tried to strip women of those same rights and she’s getting exactly what she deserves.

Missouri voters pass Amendment 3 to legalize recreational marijuana
The amendment proposed the legalization of the sale of recreational marijuana and the automatic expungement of criminal records for certain marijuana-related offenses. It would also establish regulations for Missouri's recreational marijuana industry.

The amendment will take effect in December, and the earliest businesses could sell recreational marijuana products would be February 2023......
In Colorado election, voters legalize psychedelic mushrooms for medicinal purposes
......Proponents such as Canadian former professional ice hockey player Daniel Carcillo have said the drug helped them.

He was diagnosed with multiple concussions and struggled with impulse control issues, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, he told USA TODAY Sports.

A former teammate suggested he look into mushrooms, so he visited a farm for about a week and tried them.

"It helped to reset my brain," he told USA TODAY Sports. "It helped to break a bunch of the destructive thought patterns that I was stuck in. Everything started to get better."...

The ballot initiatives don't always get the billing the elective races do in the media.

All in all, it also was a good night for reproductive rights, as well as chipping away at the war on drugs.

Voters deliver ringing endorsement of abortion rights on midterm ballot initiatives across the US
https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/09/politics ... index.html

Here's another really interesting result - 4 states essentially rejected forced prison labor - the only that didn't was Louisiana. (While the Constitution now outlaws slavery, it does not say it can't be imposed "for commission of a crime".)

4 states reject slavery-related language in constitution via ballot measures

AL, TN, VT, OR removed "imposing slavery for commission of a crime" language from their state constitutions.

Unfortunately, LA did not. :|

State Parties have a goal & a responsibility to help & give resources to candidates to get them elected & getting the word out to the public & in cases like this you have to wonder if it's time for either a regroup & do a complete overhaul.

Florida Democrats grapple with uncertain future after midterm wipeout

Democrats are facing an existential crisis in Florida after a red wave engulfed the nation’s once-premier battleground state.

The scale of the Democratic wipeout in Florida is hard to understate. Tuesday’s elections saw Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R) win landslide victories and Republicans clinch supermajorities in both chambers of the state legislature. For the first time since Reconstruction, no Democrat will hold statewide office in Florida.

Yeah we kept it but if you look at it Joe Manchin & Kyrsten Sinema could vote the other way for McConnell & let the GOP pass their own bills or he could use his scheming dirty tricks to prevent the majority to do their job even if Warnock wins his runoff race we'll see what happens when they reconvene in January 2023.

Police: No powder in envelope reported by candidate's office
There was no powder in an envelope that was opened at the Phoenix campaign headquarters of Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, police said.

Phoenix police spokesperson Donna Rossi said Friday that "the state lab tested the items turned over to them," The Arizona Republic reported. The lab "determined there was no substance inside."

Phoenix police and fire officials said they were called to the building around 2 a.m. Sunday, on a report of an envelope containing suspicious white powder.

Police said at the time there were no reports of injuries or illness, though Lake's campaign had said the staff member who opened the envelope was under medical supervision......
So right before the elections they false report terrorism of themselves?
