There is no denying that Blumenthal lied about his service to our country.

As the Snopes article notes, he has had a history of portraying things more accurately ("he was in the military reserves" - that's fact - no he was never "in country") ... so I would agree with their position that at times he was less than honest about his military service.

Whether that is a "history of lying" (at least unlike Trump he doesn't have a Liar's Rating of Pants on Fire over at PolitiFact because he routinely lies about just about everything) is a subjective opinion.

Do I think he should resign because his staff sucks at diligence, and he sometimes exaggerated his military role during those days? No. You asked. Anything else? (BTW, I'm not saying it was OK to lie about that stuff - but just answering THAT question.)

At the risk of derailing this thread one of the few good things Trump did was open a dialog with North Korea. Because now in the future real presidents can have talks with North Korea without needing to worry about political fallout.
