Who needs nuclear war any more? We've got SpaceX.
Musk's latest acid trip is for a million satellites in low earth orbit, and unlike the 10,000 or so in Starlink, they wouldn't be little piddly birds. They'd be big-ass second stages for the biggest damn data center that any rich f-ck ever imagined even in their wet dreams. They'd be server farms in the sky. Estimates are that just any time you looked up at night, instead of stars you'd be watching them re-entering and being replaced, continuously, 24/7.
Quite a few very learned people have come up with arguments that support the idea that this would be the ultimate market crash. They argue that it would end life on Earth forever.
