It could very well be as we have seen in the past the poll numbers aren't close to correct. Until 72 hours before the election when miraculously they move and are pretty accurate.

If I didn't know better I might believe the media cooks the numbers to keep people engaged in order to sell razor blades
This one is different. It’s a pollster - single person - that does ONLY Iowa polling, and has been consistently correct, because she knows her state very well.

But I realize that you’re pissed about any poll that doesn’t show Trump ahead, and you say they’re wrong.

I said MONTHS ago that the issue that would make the difference this election was the Dobbs decision, and how women felt about it. We’ll see if I’m right - and I know you’re hoping like hell that I’m not.

Tell me, Glenn - look at the last week. Look at the shitshow Trump’s campaign is. Look at how no one shows up for his rallies. Look at how he’s insulting everyone but his MAGA base. Look how he says he’ll protect women - whether they like it or not. Do you think for a moment that this is a campaign that’s turning the late deciders his way? The women? The independents?

Really?

Cross tabs of the Iowa poll: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story ... 354033007/
The poll shows that women — particularly those who are older or who are politically independent — are driving the late shift toward Harris.

“Age and gender are the two most dynamic factors that are explaining these numbers,” Selzer said.

Independent voters, who had consistently supported Trump in the leadup to this election, now break for Harris. That’s driven by the strength of independent women, who back Harris by a 28-point margin, while independent men support Trump, but by a smaller margin.

Similarly, senior voters who are 65 and older favor Harris. But senior women support her by a more than 2-to-1 margin, 63% to 28%, while senior men favor her by just 2 percentage points, 47% to 45%.

It will be interesting to see what the actual numbers turn out to be.
I believe Trump easily wins Iowa by at least 6pct.

You say you don’t support Trump, but of course, attack anything that says he won’t win.

You can’t help yourself.

Not trolling at all. You say you don’t support Trump, but you argue with any poll that doesn’t show him winning. You can’t say, “wow, maybe Harris CAN win if this poll is true”. You say it’s a lie instead.

Which shows your true support.

You all say you don’t support Trump, but you’re always here to attack anything that says he won’t win, and you attack anything anyone says against him, and you bring all his talking points.

You make a comment to deny any poll that doesn’t bode well for Trump.

This Iowa poll is a serious poll that may well show increased late breaking support for Harris. Do you see anything that Trump has done this last week to get women and independents to break for him?

Actually I commented that the polls get more accurate just before the election. Because imo the pollsters play with the numbers to keep selling razor blades.

You really don’t understand the business.

So, this poll says Harris by three, and you have to scream “TRUMP BY NINE!”

I’m sure Glenn is excited, Glenn had promised to vote for Kennedy in the primary.

Voting for Kamala Harris is 1 of the latest 'great' moments for 104-year-old Detroiter
.....“If you could see my face now, you would see a great big smile,” Esaw announced by phone at 3:27 p.m. on her birthday, a day that was fittingly even warmer in Detroit than the day she was born.....

....“I’m happy and it makes me feel great!” declared Esaw, who was born just 72 days after the ratification of the 19th Amendment which legally guaranteed women the right to vote.

Then Esaw went on to explain that her happiness this election season is tied to progress she has witnessed during her lifetime. ....

....“I want to see her reach out and touch everybody, because we’re all God’s children,” Esaw stated. “And then I would like to see us all work together as a team.” .......

Security fencing goes up around White House, Capitol, VP residence

New security fencing went up around the White House, U.S. Capitol and Vice President Harris’s residence in Washington, D.C. as authorities prepare for Election Day in the event there may be political unrest in the coming days.

The Secret Service constructed eight-foot-high metal fences around the White House and Treasury Department complex and the adjacent parts of Lafayette Square, the Naval Observatory and Harris’s house in D.C., The Washington Post reported.

Did you ever, in your worst nightmares, think that it would become prudent for this country's government to fence off and guard many key places in DC before an election?

Harris and Trump tie in Dixville Notch midnight vote to kick off Election Day

(CNN) — Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have tied with three votes each in the tiny New Hampshire township of Dixville Notch, kicking off Election Day in one of the first places in the country to report its presidential preference.

The unincorporated township, located along the US-Canada border in New Hampshire’s northern tip, opened and closed its poll just after midnight ET in a tradition that dates back to 1960. Four Republicans and two undeclared voters participated.
