Heading into the third year of the investigation, the pace of arrests has slowed dramatically, even as federal prosecutors have just three years left until the statute of limitations runs out on most Jan. 6 offenses. And just as the Justice Department is set to get millions of additional dollars to fuel its investigation, it will also face scrutiny from a Republican-controlled House from members who have called to defund the FBI and who have heavily criticized the Justice Department’s Jan. 6 probe.
The danger of a debt crisis that could bring the US to the brink of default already has ratcheted up with hard-line conservatives gaining influence in a fractious and narrow majority. They have been using their votes to pressure newly elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to use the debt ceiling as leverage in a fight over government spending.
I misunderstood what you meant by defund. If I understand these links correctly the gop is still going to fund the doj. Just not at the levels the democratic party would have.
When I read defund as it was written by you. I thought you were claiming nit fund them at all.

No, many GOP members of Congress has said they want to defund the DOJ. And you support them.
I tell you what Glenn and Joe. You want the House to do investigations? Why doesn't the House open an investigation into Glenn's Congressman, Ralph Norman, who urged Donald Trump to institute Martial Law to keep Biden from being made President and keep Trump in office illegally.

How about that?
Going back to say 1993 can you name any investigation of democrats which you supported at the time.

What about Ralph Norman? Hmmm?
Run away little boy.
Yes I believe it would be beneficial for us ti learn just exactly what Norman said and meant.
So now it's your turn. Can you name any investigation since 1993 where democrats were the target which you supported at the time.
And and before you cop out the finding of the illegal money the Louisiana rep had hidden does not count because that would be after the fact.

We're talking about NOW. And we KNOW what he sent Trump. That's a FACT.
And what else do you think it meant when he told Trump to institute Martial Law? Hmmm?
And how about the latest GOP Superstar? George Santos? McCarthy said today he wouldn't call for him to resign.

You are always asking questions and demanding answers. But, never answer any. Because you do not have the stones.
Why not just admit that you were and are opposed to every investigation in the last 30 years where democrats were the target.
We all already know it's true.
Nope, I don't, you're lying of course.
But when that Congressman got caught with a freezer of cash, the Dems took him off every Committee and demanded that he resign, and backed the investigation into him. I supported the investigation (which was an FBI sting on him), and the investigation, indictment, conviction and sentencing.
So you're lying. Fess up.
And why won't the Speaker of the House demand George Santos' resignation?

I just named one. Can you not read?
Why do you support George Santos? Why do you support Ralph Norman?
That is nothing more than a bullshit cop out. The guy was caught red handed.
You have never supported any investigation into any democrat..
And
You have never opposed any investigation into any republican.
Because you are 100pct partisan.

Yes Jefferson was caught - in an investigation. I support that. So you're lying when you say I didn't support such an investigation.
Why do you support George Santos? Why do you support Ralph Norman?

Oh yeah The House is in order alright MAGA Order. *problem*
McCarthy expected to keep 3 Democrats off House committees
Speaker Kevin McCarthy and leading Republicans are expected to soon make good on a vow to keep three Democrats from seats on influential committees in the new House.
McCarthy's focus is Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, two California lawmakers who have served on the House Intelligence Committee.
I dreamed about the House last night. Apparently it had become a cult under the Republicans, and was spreading conspiracy theories that were so goofy that I can't even remember them. Something about a Great Pajama Takeover Threat. I took that to be a subconscious reference to the archetypal anarchistic Bolshevik of old political cartoons, in his black robe with his little round bomb.
Now I see real reporting about how much of the House McCarthy gave the loonies while throwing Democrats who stood up to drumpf off committees, and I wonder how much of that was a dream. Fasten your seat belts, folks. It's going to be a long and VERY strange two years.

Pelosi set the precedent.
No, there was damned good reason to relieve them of their Committees, both are anti-Semetic fair right loons.
But hey, you are in to tit-for-tat just like a child, aren't you? You aren't demanding professional actions from the GOP. You champion them acting like children.

BTW, whether they thought it was merited or not, no Democrats have ever tried to "expunge" Bill Clinton's impeachment.
The one thing you can't expunge, of course, are peoples' memories.
I would agree. It’s wasted effort accomplishing nothing.
