I happen to think this is the right decision. I'm not ageist, but she would be 97 IF she finishes another term. Thank you for your long & distinguished service, Senator. You have earned retirement.
Seems right now the leading contenders from the D side to run for her seat are Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee. I like them all. Good thing I'm not Californian, I won't have to choose.

California needs a warrior in the Senate—to stand up to special interests, fight the dangerous imbalance in our economy, and hold so-called leaders like Mitch McConnell accountable for rigging our democracy.
Today, I'm proud to announce my candidacy for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

Liberal candidate Janet Protasiewicz advances in Wisconsin Supreme Court race
Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz, a liberal candidate, is projected to advance to the April 4 general election in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race after she became the top vote-getter on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.
Protasiewicz was one of two liberal candidates vying for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which was left open after conservative Justice Patience Roggensack announced she would not be seeking another term. Protasiewicz will be going head to head against a conservative candidate — wither Jennifer Dorow or Daniel Kelly — for the open seat in April.

Way to go NY Dems.
The New York Left Is Continuing to Make Gains at the State Level
The New York State Senate voted down Governor Kathy Hochul’s conservative nominee for chief judge last Wednesday. On the same day, that body also took major steps toward enacting New York City Democratic Socialists of America’s (NYC-DSA) environmental agenda. Throughout the week, Democratic legislators in Albany also signaled strong resistance to rolling back progressive criminal justice reforms and confidence that “good cause” eviction legislation, forbidding landlords from arbitrarily refusing to renew tenants’ leases, would pass.

"Biden is obviously not mentally and maybe even physically up to the rigors of the job." is straight from Trump's mouth.
Biden disproved this during his last SOTU with his sharp wit, and his speech to Canadian Parliament. He also rides a bike. People in cognitive decline typically don't ride bikes. They also don't ride a train for hours to head into a war zone.
