Yes there have been a handful of convictions. So few that it shows there was no vast conspiracy. No central planning. No chain of command. No plan of action. Nothing like you folks on the left like to pretend it was.Drak wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 1:34 pm "There was no sedition. If there was sedition, where are the sedition charges? It was just a protest. Of course there was a chain of command. All this stuff has been pointed out countless times, there was a war room in place. You just can’t handle reality. So you lie.
Keep moving those goal posts. You are so easily manipulated.

Four Oath Keepers convicted of Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy
WASHINGTON (AP) — Four members of the Oath Keepers were convicted Monday of seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack in the second major trial of far-right extremists accused of plotting to forcibly keep President Donald Trump in power.
The verdict against Joseph Hackett of Sarasota, Florida; Roberto Minuta of Prosper, Texas; David Moerschel of Punta Gorda, Florida; and Edward Vallejo of Phoenix comes weeks after after a different jury convicted the group’s leader, Stewart Rhodes, in the mob’s attack that halted the certification of President Joe Biden’s electoral victory.

Re: Storming The Capital 2: A Counter Storm is Coming
So what was the chain of command?
There obviously wasn't one.
So where is the plan, listen uo and listen good.
After we take control of the capital Johnson you are to shit on a desk.
Murphy you are to piss on as many things as you can. So be sure and drink lots of liquids.
The rest of you break things and act like monkeys in the zoo during breeding season.
Now if we are successful in the implementation of this plan by the end of the day we will control the government.
So let's go over this plan one more time
After we take control.......

The plan was for Trump to lead the mob to the Capitol, and keep them from counting the votes.Glennfs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 9:54 am So what was the chain of command?

And that’s why Trump refused to defend our nation’s capitol.
Re: Storming The Capital 2: A Counter Storm is Coming
That is interesting speculation and opinion which could be true. We will know more after the various investigations are completed.
As of today we know there was no chain of command. There was no battle plan. There was a handful of protesters who thought by stomping around they would be successful.
My opinion is they believed the country was behind them and once things were put in motion their would be a groundswell of grassroots support.
Which why so few have been charged with a serious crime. Because so few involved were actually there to try and overturn the outcome.
The rest were just protesters who became rioters.
Overall all I personally give our DOJ an A+ for how they have handled the prosecution and how they have ignored the political lie that it was an insurrection and we almost lost our country.

Trump sat there and let the attacks continue for hours and sat on his hands. He swore an oath to defend our nation, and didn’t do shit, because he wanted the government overthrown.
And you’ll never admit that.
Re: Storming The Capital 2: A Counter Storm is Coming
First you should be saying if not when. As for the rest of your premise it depends on the crime.gounion wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:54 am When Smith indicts Trump, you will attack Smith.

But, let's turn that around. If Smith does not charge Trump or charges him with the equivalent of jaywalking you will say Trump got away with it.

No, unlike you, I won’t. I said from the beginning that I trusted the AG. When others were screaming that he wasn’t doing anything, I never said a word against him. You can go back and see. I knew it would take time.
But you said the same, and you have attacked the AG, just like I said you would.
But you cannot accept that Trump did anything that he should be charged with and have to pay for. That’s why you say “if not when”, because you are sure he won’t be charge, and when he is, you’ll go apoplectic.
And we both know it.

First of all you know I was talking about whether or not the AG decided to prefer charges.gounion wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:59 am No, unlike you, I won’t. The thought he would appoint a special prosecutor never entered my mind or yours.
The only problem I have with the descion is the timing was 100pct political. He should have appointed the prosecutor a year earlier. As I am sure he had made the descion to do so at least a year sooner.

It was always possible to appoint a special prosecutor. He did so because Trump declared his candidacy for President.Glennfs wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 1:30 pm First of all you know I was talking about whether or not the AG decided to prefer charges.

DC AG declines to charge mother of Ashli Babbitt, Jan. 6 protester killed by police
Prosecutors have declined to file charges against the mother of Ashli Babbitt, Micki Witthoeft, who was arrested on traffic charges this month on the two-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot where her daughter was fatally shot by a police officer.
Witthoeft, 58, was arrested as she and other District of Columbia protesters blocked traffic on Independence Avenue, U.S. Capitol Police said in a news release.

Nobody saw a special prosecutor coming including you.
And
No I trust both special prosecutors unlike you who will not state the same and are waiting to see the results you want

A special prosecutor was ALWAYS the likely outcome if Trump was going to be indicted.
And no, we have found out that Trump AG Barr was corrupt and so was his special prosecutor, John Durham. Cue your support of Trump.

Oh, I know how such things work, because I know history. It was always obvious that this would happen if Trump was going to be charged. You’re just using this as your excuse to attack the AG - like I told you that you would, that if he ruled against Trump in any way, you would attack him.

When you find wrongdoing at the Presidential level, you get a Special Prosecutor.
You know, like the one they just appointed on Biden. And the one Trump’s first AG appointed for Trump, you know, Mueller.
And this is about things Trump did AS President.
Give me one reason they WOULDN’T appoint one.
Face it, you told me that you TRUSTED Garland, and you would back WHATEVER he did.
Until you don’t.

Glenn, a special prosecutor was always a possibility, and you know it. You’re the one lying. You said WHATEVER Garland decided, you would back. You said you trusted him.
And YOU lied. We all see it. I predicted that anything he did against Trump, you would attack, and I was right.
