Pelosi refused to let the bill see the light of day
First, I guess this means that it's okay for Ralph Norman to urge the President to declare martial law.

I looked into this. It's been proposed since 2010, so there's more than once that the Republicans could have taken the bill out of conference. Why didn't they? They can have a vote NOW. Why haven't they?

Plus, it looks like the FCC has given the prisons the ability to pinpoint cell phones in the prison and have the carriers shut them down. So sounds to me like a fix. And they are asking the FCC to give them the ability to jam, so it's not a job for Congress, anyway.

I wish we had this done in last year's congress but i give him credit for calling them out the prices are indeed out of control.

Biden calls on Congress to limit extra charges by airlines, hotels

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden took swipes at airlines and hotels Wednesday as he called on Congress to limit certain extra charges they impose on consumers.

"These unfair fees add up," he said, speaking just before a meeting of the White House Competition Committee.

Biden Touts Millions for New York Rail Tunnel, Courtesy of His Infrastructure Bill

WASHINGTON — For more than a decade, commuters have watched as state and federal officials promised and failed to revamp the century-old rail tunnel connecting New Jersey to Midtown Manhattan, which has become a symbol of America’s aging infrastructure.

During a trip to New York City on Tuesday, President Biden will promote his $1 trillion infrastructure package as the solution.

At least he doesn’t have to pay off Russians for supporting him like Trump does.

New York needs something. I'm not sure yet another tunnel under the Hudson will help much, though it will certainly make Bayonne and Hoboken at least a little easier to commute to Manhattan from. One thing Biden got right is that it will be good well-paid union labor building it. That's always a good thing for a city, especially one as expensive as New York.

Actually if you believe the climate people, what Manhattan is really going to need pretty soon is a levee system like New Orleans. There is considerable risk of a storm turning Canal Street back into a canal.

Yeah, if it were a Republican doing the deal, it’d be a non-union firm using all illegals.

US reunites nearly 700 kids taken from parents under Trump

WASHINGTON -- A Biden administration task force designed to reunite children separated from their families during President Trump's presidency has reconnected nearly 700 children with their families, officials said Thursday.

President Joe Biden issued an executive order on his first day in office to reunite families that were split up under the Trump administration’s widely condemned practice of forcibly separating parents and children at the U.S.-Mexico border to discourage illegal immigration. Thursday marked the two-year anniversary of the task force.

Glenn, you missed my post on the climate doomsday clock in Union Square NYC. It's up to seven years left before irreversible human extinction.

Oh, and before you start looking for Bolsheviks under your bed wearing black robes and holding silly little round bombs, it's called Union Square because it's the "union" of several major streets in that part of Manhattan. All the subways go there, or near enough. It has nothing to do with your dreaded struggle for workers' rights.

Good Fuck Faux Noise who the hell wants to sit down & talk to these losers anyway.

White House says Fox statement ‘inaccurate,’ Biden will not do Super Bowl interview

The White House said on Friday night that President Biden will not sit down with Fox for an interview ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, calling an earlier statement from Fox Corp. “inaccurate.”

“As we said earlier, we had arranged an interview with Fox Sports Host Mike Hill & Vivica A. Fox with the President ahead of the Super Bowl and Fox Corp had the interview cancelled,” a White House spokesperson said, per CNN Business. “FOX has since put out a statement indicating the interview was rescheduled, which is inaccurate.”

I believe the folks who have studied interglacial warming periods of the past few million years. They say we’ll see another 20” of sea level rise. So the word will need a bunch of levies. Northern Greenland becomes comfortably habitable so it’s gonna get a warmer too.

That’s nice. Where are the floor bills? They’ve already voted on a huge pile of clown bills, nothing about the economy fighting inflation or gas. Why are they forming expensive stupid clown car committees that are Trump revenge grievances instead of what they ran on? Why did they constantly vote against bills to help lower prices and fight inflation last term? Why didn’t they write bills on this stuff, last term? Why are you so easily manipulated by idiots? They want the economy to fail. It’s all they got to grab power. That and constant culture wars, fear and lies.

False. If you follow their accounts you’d see they’re interested in the dirty stuff.

Funny how they’re interested in a private citizen but have no problem with Jared and Ivanka hauling in 540 mil using WH access, or Jared snagging a cool 2 billion and billions for Donald with SA, eh Greengrass?

Oh, fucking HILARIOUS! Of course, you didn't go read the bill - because you said earlier you'd never read a bill. Well, you could read this one. It's only three pages long.

And you want to know what it's about? Here it is:

"A bill to require the Executive Office of the President to provide an inflation estimate with respect to Executive orders with a significant effect on the annual gross budget, and for other purposes."

That's it!

Wipe that egg off your face!

I suggest you ask him to tell you what's in the bill. I'll bet he provides a link to the Communist Party of the US.

Strange, isn't it, that glenn hates socialism and communism but he's sure familiar with the Communist Party of the US.

Biden traveling to the war zone of Ukraine at the one year mark was an historical master stroke.

“You said that you didn’t know when we’d be able to speak again. That dark night one year ago, the world was literally at the time bracing for the fall of Kyiv,” Biden said. “Perhaps even the end of Ukraine.”

“One year later, Kyiv stands. And Ukraine stands. Democracy stands,” he declared. “The Americans stand with you and the world stands with you.”

Biden said that Kyiv has “captured a part of my heart."

Right up there with “ Ich bin ein Berliner” and “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

Way to go Joe!

And of course, DeSantis condemns our support for the Ukraine. This is who the right thinks should lead the world.
