Way to go Joe
Re: Way to go Joe
One of the ways the Republicans maintain control over the means of information is to personalize everything. Surely air pollution causing greenhouse gas retention isn't the problem, or a small transnational oligarchy of kleptocrats isn't the problem. Some politician in the other party is the problem. This works, just like judging a movie by the performances given by the stars, while disregarding the hard work of 500 other people. It appeals to the human desire for simplicity.
The only problem is that the analysis we're fed by these people is an erroneous description of a real and critical situation. They'll jam it down your throat 24/7, but you can spit it back up in their faces.

What’s that? …just President Biden signing over 60 bills earlier today.
Democrats are getting the job done, despite the opposition. Let’s keep moving forward in 2023 and fight for ALL Americans.

One thing about you liberals you love laws and regulations.
So much that most of you prefer to live in HOA communities. Because as we all know the local city, county and state laws and regulations just aren't enough.
Because as we all know we need the government to people how to live and there just can't be enough laws, regulations and rules ever.

Unlike the GOP, Biden's administration is taking a hard look at what's happening with the airlines, specifically Southwest:
Also, oversight:
Here's something good that the Administration did that Republicans would never do:“In order to restore that relationship with their customers, Southwest is going to have to not only make them financially whole, but find a way to really rebuild trust and confidence,” Buttigieg said in a stern appearance that is a marked departure from his more typically genial demeanor. “They pledged to me that they’re going to do that. I want to see exactly what that means,” he said.
Wow, that's smart. Simple transparency, which caused airlines to sweeten their policies.Just before the Labor Day weekend, DOT published a dashboard showing each airline’s cancellation and refund policies, a move which prompted many airlines to make those policies more consumer-friendly, such as offering more generous hotel and meal vouchers when flights get canceled or significantly delayed and more flexibility to reschedule flights. Typically, compensation owed to fliers depends on whether an event was in the airline’s control — like an equipment malfunction — or out of its control, like weather.
Also, oversight:
Of course, next year the GOP will control the Transportation Committee, which probably means they'll be too busy impeaching Buttigieg to do anything resembling oversight.Key congressional Democrats such as Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, have already said they plan to probe the matter when lawmakers return next year.
Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wash.), who will be the top Democrat on the House Transportation Committee next year, on Tuesday said he spoke with officials at Southwest, who told him cancellations as of Christmas Eve are “deemed controllable,” meaning passengers are entitled to refunds and reimbursements as a result of the airlines’ meltdown.

Actually it is hampered by liberals by far to many asinine rules and regulations.

I guess we should still be sending Kim love letters. Looks like you’re pining for the days when they were besties with the President, because that worked out so well.Glennfs wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 7:25 pm https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/30/asia/nor ... index.html

That sounds like what the PLO does against Isreal.
As for today North Korea is a threat to world peace and we would be far better off talking to them.

Oh? We were keeping them from getting the materials they needed to keep manufacturing nukes. We had a world that was united against them, including China.
But when Trump started writing love letters to Kim, then that broke the embargo and Kim started mass production.
But hey, keep telling us how Trump is a genius. We had intelligent people running things, then Trump came and fucked it all up.

Biden extends Hong Kong overstayers' deportation stay for two years
Jan. 26 (UPI) -- President Joe Biden granted an 11th-hour reprieve from deportation Thursday to thousands of Hong Kong residents, saying they could remain in the United States for another two years.
Biden moved to extend a program introduced in August 2021 that defers the deportation of eligible Hong Kong residents who have overstayed their visas. The program was set to expire in two weeks.

Unlike our progressive friends who would never dare to say anything any republican proposed is a good idea.
This is a good plan which all should endorse

If any republican came up with a plan like this we would have said it's a good idea. Unfortunately, the only immigrants republicans are interested in are Cubans so they can benefit from their votes in Florida.
