Dianne Feinstein says she will not run again for Senate.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/14/politics ... index.html

I happen to think this is the right decision. I'm not ageist, but she would be 97 IF she finishes another term. Thank you for your long & distinguished service, Senator. You have earned retirement.

Seems right now the leading contenders from the D side to run for her seat are Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee. I like them all. Good thing I'm not Californian, I won't have to choose.

You and everyone should be an agent. It is obvious that she is currently not mentally able to do her job.
She should have been replaced a decade or more ago.

California needs a warrior in the Senate—to stand up to special interests, fight the dangerous imbalance in our economy, and hold so-called leaders like Mitch McConnell accountable for rigging our democracy.

Today, I'm proud to announce my candidacy for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

Liberal candidate Janet Protasiewicz advances in Wisconsin Supreme Court race

Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz, a liberal candidate, is projected to advance to the April 4 general election in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race after she became the top vote-getter on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.

Protasiewicz was one of two liberal candidates vying for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which was left open after conservative Justice Patience Roggensack announced she would not be seeking another term. Protasiewicz will be going head to head against a conservative candidate — wither Jennifer Dorow or Daniel Kelly — for the open seat in April.

Way to go NY Dems. :D

The New York Left Is Continuing to Make Gains at the State Level

The New York State Senate voted down Governor Kathy Hochul’s conservative nominee for chief judge last Wednesday. On the same day, that body also took major steps toward enacting New York City Democratic Socialists of America’s (NYC-DSA) environmental agenda. Throughout the week, Democratic legislators in Albany also signaled strong resistance to rolling back progressive criminal justice reforms and confidence that “good cause” eviction legislation, forbidding landlords from arbitrarily refusing to renew tenants’ leases, would pass.

Alonzo Knox wins slugfest in House District 93 runoff

NEW ORLEANS – A contentious runoff for a seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives ended with the second-place finisher in last month’s primary surpassing the frontrunner. Alonzo Knox won the race that mattered Saturday, besting Sibil Fox Richardson with 54% of the vote in the general election between two Democrats.

The runoff settled who gets to complete the remaining term of new state Sen. Royce Duplessis in House District 93. Richardson, who had received endorsements from a city politics who’s who slate, had 37% support in the Feb. 18 primary to Knox’s 31% in a six-person field.

Cuba hails legislative election as ‘victory’ despite criticism

The Cuban authorities have said voters elected all 470 legislators for the country’s National Assembly, after the Caribbean island held legislative elections that did not include any opposition candidates.

Election officials said on Monday that the initial turnout was 75.92 percent, topping participation in municipal elections in November and a referendum on the Cuban family code, which legalised gay marriage, in September.

"Biden is obviously not mentally and maybe even physically up to the rigors of the job." is straight from Trump's mouth.

Biden disproved this during his last SOTU with his sharp wit, and his speech to Canadian Parliament. He also rides a bike. People in cognitive decline typically don't ride bikes. They also don't ride a train for hours to head into a war zone.
