Trump finally pays E. Jean Carroll $5.6 million

W. Jean Carroll sued and won against Trump for sexual assault and defamation. He keep playing the courts to avoid paying her but that tactic failed and now he's paid her the $5 million plus interest.

Writer E. Jean Carroll has finally received the $5 million dollar payout in damages from a 2023 jury verdict that found President Donald Trump sexually assaulted and later defamed her.

The payment brings finality to a years-long legal fight over charges the president has vehemently denied.

According to new court filings Tuesday, Carroll will receive more than $5.62 million, which includes an additional amount from accrued interest.
