A woman was shot by her father following a “big” argument about Donald Trump as she stayed at his home in the US, an inquest has heard.

Lucy Harrison, 23, had been staying with her dad Kris Harrison and his family in Prosper, Texas, in January 2025 when she was killed after being shot in the chest.

TUMBLER RIDGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA — RCMP Supt. Ken Floyd says police are "not in a place" to understand what motivated a shooter suspected of killing two people at a home in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., before going to a school and committing one of Canada's worst mass shootings.

Slain Mar-a-Lago intruder ID'd as Austin Martin from North Carolina

The young man killed after breaching the perimeter around President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home with a shotgun and gas tank has been identified as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The name, first reported by the Associated Press, began to circulate online soon after the U.S. Secret Service announced the Feb. 22 shooting at Trump's estate on Palm Beach. The FBI did not confirm the identity until hours later, by which point internet sleuths had already seized upon a missing-persons flyer for a man with the same name.

Mass shooting at Austin, Texas bar leaves at least 3 dead, 14 wounded, authorities say

Gunfire rang out at a bar in Austin, Texas early Sunday and at least three people were killed, the city's police chief said. Lisa Davis told reporters the shooter was killed by officers at the scene.

Fourteen others were hospitalized and three were in critical condition, Austin-Travis County EMS Chief Robert Luckritz said.

Woman arrested after firing gun at Rihanna's home while she was inside

Rihanna is safe after a shooting at her Los Angeles home.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested after March 8 after firing multiple shots from inside her vehicle toward Rihanna's house in Beverly Hills around 1 p.m., law enforcement sources confirmed to TMZ and the Los Angeles Times. During the shooting, one of at least 10 rounds penetrated a wall of her house, a law enforcement source told The Times.

You get people who seem to want to make their own dead celebrities for all manner of weird reasons that rarely involve politics.

Two killed in fatal shooting near Players Championship as spectator entry delayed

Authorities were searching for a man who shot and killed two people in a drug store parking lot near the TPC Sawgrass, leading The Players Championship to delay opening gates for the third round on Saturday morning.

Douglas Bispo Silva, a Brazilian content creator, was shot and killed while leaving a street party in the early hours of March 29. He was 21.

Silva’s death was confirmed by Coletivo LGBTI+ Flores do Sisal, an LGBTQ organization based in Bahia, Brazil, of which he was a member, in a post on Instagram on March 29, remembering the late creator for his “presence” and “smile.”

Second person arrested in shooting that killed 7-month-old girl in Brooklyn

A second person has been arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of a baby girl in Brooklyn.

Police believe 18-year-old Matthew Rodriguez is the second suspect wanted for operating the moped during the deadly shooting of 7-month-old child Kaori Patterson-Moore on Wednesday in East Williamsburg. He was taken into custody in Pennsylvania on Friday by NYPD detectives assigned to the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. Charges against him are pending.
