Amir Abdur-Rahim, the coach of South Florida's men's basketball program, has died. The tragic and unexpected news was announced Thursday by the university. He was 43 years old.

Former Moeller High School football coach Gerry Faust, who led the Crusaders to national prominence and later coached at the University of Notre Dame, died Monday night. He was 89 years old.
