Re: EARTH....
Here we got 2.25 inches, well short of the predicted 4-5. No wind at all. I'm sure there were mudslides in the Palisades and Malibu, but that happens most years anyway. Downtown San Diego had 1.27 inches of rain and we had 1 inch in Coronado. Those totals are high considering considering most storm...

Re: EARTH....
The thing in LA is that the mountain areas cycle between years with no rain, which causes fires, followed by years with too much rain, which causes mud slides and floods. There is no average season, except as a mathematical construct. In this particular case, I was referring to several statements m...

The Nooz has gone off the edge on this one. There are no normal rain seasons in LA. It's usually either too much rain or not enough rain. One storm might drop more than some of our recorded season totals, since some of those are in fractions of an inch. I doubt it will beat the all time season reco...

Atmospheric river to hit Southern California today through Sunday. In San Diego County, we're expecting 1.5 - 2 inches along the coast and 1 - 1.5 inches inland. We have a report of a lawn mower that uses GPS going off course and taking out at least part of a flower bed. I didn't know they were putting GPS into lawn mowers now, let alone that a geomagnetic storm could confuse them. I knew most new farm machines use it. Well they are, and it did. On the upsi...

Still no definitive crowd size in NYC. General agreement that it was bigger than the first one. The march in San Diego was, IMO, as large or large than the first one. LA had a bunch of undocumented mini-protests all over the city to go with the big one downtown. (You know how hard it is to get arou...

When entering Coronado from the bridge you're on Third St. The street has a small S-curve and there's a house that's displayed Trump banners/flags, Arrest Fauci, Arrest Biden, MAHA, etc. The other day, as I was entering Coronado, I noticed the only thing displayed were two American flags. I walked b...

While our Constitution separates religion and the state that doesn't mean religion can't use political parties to further their aims and vice versa. Those with political power will use religion and wealthy individuals to obtain and retain power at the cost to the people they suppose to be serving.
